Our Story
Our Story
At the young age of 15, our mom, Chef Lan discovered her extraordinary talent when she started her culinary journey in Vietnam. With no exact recipes, she poured her heart into crafting her mother's authentic Vietnamese dishes.
After fleeing to France as war refugees, Chef Lan and her family worked tirelessly, pouring their heart into their family owned restaurant for over a decade. But destiny had more in store for them.
In 1995, Chef Lan and her beloved husband Inpanh, our dad, made a courageous leap to America with us kids, carrying with them the dream of sharing the same delicious food that had been passed down from Grandma to Mom to now us.
Tragically, our dad's journey was suddenly cut short, leaving behind a dream unfulfilled. Determined to honor our beloved dad's memory and dream, we decided to open “tensevenrolls”. The name holds deep significance, blending his birthday (10/07), and featuring his smile on the logo along with his favorite flower, the Dok Champa, symbolizing his Laotian roots.
Our Banh Cuon rolls are prepared using the same family recipe passed down from generations.
Embracing innovation, we also offer delightful variations like beef, tofu, shrimp fillings, a fusion of cherished heritage and fresh ideas.
You will also love our twist on another Vietnamese staple- Banh Xeo.
Everything we prepare and serve is at the peak of freshness and you will be able to taste that commitment!
“tensevenrolls” is not just a business for us; it's a labor of love led by our mom Chef Lan, her granddaughter, Jordan, and us three devoted children, Jean-Christophe, Sophie, and Monica; and a dedication to keep our dad's dream alive.
We hope our love and passion will show as soon as you take your first bite!
' Hope you’re proud of us, Papa.
